Miles Davis' album 'The Man With The Horn' was recorded and mixed at CBS Recording Studios, New York, May 1980 - May 1981. The album features a hybrid of Chicago group's pieces and free jazz-rock. The hit 'The Man With The Horn' received a lot of airplay on FM stations. Jazz lovers delighted in the rest of the repertory. Miles Davis had been in a suicidal withdrawal since 1975, but his nephew Vince Wilburn persuaded him to join them in the studio. The album features musicians like Marcus Miller, Bill Evans, and Al Foster. Mike Stern's incandescent solo on 'Fat Time' was highly appreciated.
